JUNE NEWSLETTER
Greetings!
Three things this June to focus on and remember to do. 1. Consider the benefits of living the intuitive life, 2. Seek help, ask for help when you need it, 3. Listen to the subtle guidance you receive.
Life is pretty fabulous when through all the curves and activity of daily life, you can still see and feel the truth of the moment and stay connected to the BIG picture. I have had the opportunity to experience this first hand a few times this week. Also, having the courage to be true to oneself even if it is inconvenient or changes the plan strengthens our intuitive and spiritual muscles. This in turn builds our confidence that we can do it. Every moment is our practice. Our prayer to our Creator is the manner in which we live our life.
After chatting with a fellow intuitive this past month, I realized I was approaching my consulting business and intuitive work similar to how I run my garden center and landscaping business. I also was taking cues from my years as an elementary school teacher. I began to feel bogged down and overwhelmed with all the responsibility and commitments. I had a bad case of taking myself too seriously, over booking myself, over analyzing the little things and forgetting to have FUN! My guides and angels are reminding me all the time to have fun and this is an opportunity to enjoy myself. Laurie, who has a graphics design company and designs all my ads, handouts, and business cards told me that she always prefaces an activity or opportunity with “Does it make me happy?” I paraphrase this with, “Am I having fun?” When I start to feel frustrated or overwhelmed I remind myself with the question, “Am I having fun?” My intuitive work is what feeds my soul, my spirit. It is fun and fulfilling. I love it!
If I am starting to get cranky or feel overwhelmed I now do an internal check. Where am I in my cycle? Have I eaten? Did I sleep well? Did I schedule ME time? Have I meditated? When I don’t take care of myself by doing my meditation, getting enough sleep, feeding myself nourishing foods and beverages, and doing those things that feed my soul, I get off center. Like a spinning top that is losing momentum. I can get knocked off center very easily when I am trying to function in an ungrounded manner. While in this state, it is easier for my ego to run with whatever little bit of shadow or doubt that might be floating around in my mind. This takes on a variety of appearances. It can look like: me beating myself up over little things that I have or haven’t said, done and didn’t do, or scenarios that were completely played out in my mind. The ego might take this opportunity to enhance my insecurities about difference aspects of my life, particularly new adventures that I am a beginner at.
So, be aware. Being intuitive is being aware of your state of being, emotionally, physically, mentally, and how those particular states could be effecting your interpretation to what is occurring around you. Being intuitive is also, using your common sense. Making a decision that rings true, feels right, resonates with all of you (although your logical brain might not agree initially) is the wisest way to make your way through your path.
Remember that this guidance is subtle and won’t force you to act quickly. It is gentle and repetitive.
Practice this approach this summer and by fall you will find yourself living a richer, more abundant, fulfilled life.
Blessings,
Marie-Claire
